LARKSPUR, CAŚ Landscape painter Dan Cooper announces the launch of "E-Painting of the Week," a new free email service for anyone who would
like more art in their lives. Starting August 1 and for eight Wednesdays through September 19, subscribers will receive by email a full-color
representation of an original Cooper landscape painting with a brief comment from the artist. The fast-loading jpeg image is approximately 3 by 5 inches on the computer screen, with no attachments. No solicitations are included. E-mail addresses of subscribers will be kept strictly confidential, and viewers can unsubscribe easily any time.

"Fine art is not just for the elite, to be kept in museums or galleries," asserts Cooper. "It can be an everyday source of enjoyment and inspiration. Here's a way to partake conveniently, at no cost. Receiving a spark of beauty in the middle of a work week can brighten the day," he continues, comparing it to perks like a workplace shoulder massage. "Viewers can look for 10 seconds or 10 minutes, forward it to their friends, even print it out for their personal use."

The first series of eight E-Paintings (March 7 - April 25) included scenes of California, Canada, and France. "It was enthusiastically received," says the artist. "Many subscribers wrote to say how much they looked forward to each week's new artwork and asked me to continue. This new series, called
"Journey to the Aquitaine" is based on paintings inspired by my pilgrimage to ancestral lands in the southwest of France." Anyone interested in trying
out Cooper's "E-Painting of the Week" can subscribe by sending a blank email to:, or visit the artist's website:
